Who We Serve

Individuals considered for admission must meet specific eligibility requirements to ensure our program can appropriately and safely meet their needs.

Age Requirement

Adults between the ages of 18 and 40 who require structured residential support services.

Diagnosis

Documented intellectual or developmental disability, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, or related co-occurring conditions.

Level of Care

Individuals requiring 24-hour residential supervision, behavioral support, activities of daily living assistance, and life-skills development.

Funding

Maryland DDA funding, Medicaid waiver programs, or approved private pay arrangements depending on individual circumstances.

Dr. Lesia Christen is a Doctor of Nursing Practice–prepared, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 28 years of experience delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse and underserved populations. She brings deep expertise in primary care, women’s health, and the management of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Her leadership is shaped by a strong foundation in value-based care, population health, and quality improvement, with a steady focus on outcomes, accountability, and compassionate service.

Dr. Christen has led multiple clinical initiatives focused on improving chronic disease outcomes, including diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and hyperlipidemia. Her work integrates evidence-based practice with innovative care delivery models such as Chronic Care Management, Remote Patient Monitoring, and Advanced Primary Care Management to strengthen patient engagement, reduce hospitalizations, and improve outpatient performance.

As a healthcare leader, she brings a collaborative and strategic approach to clinical operations. The name Marley Rose Group Home holds deep personal meaning and reflects the values upon which the organization was founded named after the founder's first granddaughter, Marley Rose, symbolizes legacy, purpose, and the power of identity.

Founder Sacra Magdalia Durandisse believes that there is power in a name. By naming the organization after her granddaughter, she wanted Marley to grow up understanding that her name represents more than just who she is, it represents purpose, compassion, and the responsibility to uplift others.

Through this organization, Ms. Durandisse hopes to demonstrate to Marley and future generations that legacy is not defined simply by success, but by how we use our lives to serve others and create lasting impact in society.

2025

Founder Sacra Durandisse develops the vision for Marley Rose Group Home after identifying critical gaps in therapeutic residential services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

2025–2026

Marley Rose Group Home LLC formally established. Development of organizational policies, operational procedures, and comprehensive licensing and compliance documentation aligned with Maryland regulatory standards.

2026

Identification and preparation of the residential property at 1529 North Bond Street, Baltimore an 8-bed therapeutic group home. Facility modifications and accessibility improvements completed to meet regulatory and ADA requirements.

2026

Expansion of clinical partnerships and development of multidisciplinary care model. Final preparation for licensing inspections, occupancy approval, and official program launch.

2026 Open

Marley Rose Group Home LLC officially opens to operate and receive residents beginning a new chapter of compassionate, therapeutic residential care in Baltimore, Maryland.
